almond-cookie macros

And here, as promised, are the macros for the altered ADIDAF recipe for almond-flour chocolate-chip cookies, with Nestlé Toll House macros (I'm trusting the AI on this) as a comparison. Click on the chart to blow it up to its full, 1200-dpi glory. Or if you can read it just fine on the screen as it is, then don't bother to click.

So, in a cookie-for-cookie comparison (the Nestlé macros are for a single cookie, with per-cookie figures for both cookies bolded), it seems the ADIDAF cookies are a bit more calorific, but you can see that that's because the quasi-keto cookies have twice the fat content (assuming the AI is correct about Toll House cookies). They also have twice the protein... and even with real, semisweet chocolate chips in my cookies, there's only one fifth of the carbs. I'll take that trade: 12 more calories per cookie for a fifth of the carbs.

If I were doing strict keto on a 20-gram-a-day carb budget, I could eat 4 cookies and not break the budget. Of course, I couldn't have any other carbs that day, but if I stuck to meat, I'd be good, going over budget by only a gram or two. Not that I'd advise doing that. Meanwhile, a single Toll House cookie would do me in, taking me over budget. See the difference?

I'd recommend making ADIDAF cookies to everyone. Here's the recipe. And if you're willing to take the plunge and eliminate all added sugar, you could replace the real chocolate chips with sugar-free ones. Surprisingly, I'd recommend Hershey's over popular diet brands like Lily's. I have no idea about ChocZero, but I've heard good things. I also see that Ghirardelli has its own brand of sugar-free chocolate chips. That could be worth a try.
