I couldn't sleep, so...

I couldn't sleep, so I got to working on a new blog banner and the tee design for this year's walk, which is simply a slightly altered version of last year's designs. Later today, I'll create the new blog, put up the tee design for sale, buy myself two tees (one with a 2-sided tee design and the other, for trekking, with a 1-sided design so my backpack doesn't rub off the print and create "tee dandruff"), and maybe look for new hiking shoes, but I might not need them given how short the Nakdong River trail is (385 km, official distance): my shoes from last year look as though they could last through another walk. I hope that, by starting later in October, I'll have fewer problems with rain, but you never know. Whatever happens, I'll be sure to tape my feet up well so as not to incur the same injuries as last time. Last year, when I started walking again, I taped up my feet pretty damn well, and there was no problem. It also helped that there was no snow or rain, in early December, to make life difficult. I don't know how November will be this year, but I'll keep the fingers and tentacles crossed.

Travel dates for the walk go from October 27 (Monday) to November 15 (Saturday)—not even three weeks. If anyone wants to meet me at the top of Andong Dam on that final day, get in touch with me via Kakao (ID: bighominid), and we can coordinate a meeting time (but no guarantees: I'm a slow walker these days). I don't know whether this will be my last walk ever; it might well be. But if I still have enough hit points left, I'd like to do the Four Rivers next year. And hell, who knows? I might do a different route the year after that—maybe the Geumgang trail, maybe the west coast, maybe something else. We'll see how long I last.
