My buddy Tom turns 50 today.
Tom is still a workaholic after all these years. He and I met in 1994, when I moved to Korea after two painful years as a high-school French teacher in Arlington, Virginia. I'm an old bachelor now, but Tom is happily married and has a son, appropriately named Thomson. Now, like so many in my small circle of friends, Tom has fallen over the Cliffs of Fifty.
Happy Birthday, you old fart!
