One thing Styx notes is that British conservatives aren't really all that conservative: they're more like Biden-style Democrats. This is why I, Mark Steyn, Pat Condell, and others worry that a Tory-dominated Parliament won't actually accomplish much in terms of Brexit or even a proper conservative agenda. If the will of the people gets thwarted yet again, it may be time for a second Gunpowder Plot—one that actually goes all the way this time. Was it Nigel Farage who was talking about abolishing the House of Lords? Might be a good start, that.
