A lot of the world's problems could be solved, or at least mitigated, by a few motivated snipers. Yeah, yeah, I know the "hydra" argument—cut off one head, and two grow in its place. Nature abhors a power vacuum as much as she abhors any other vacuum. But even the hydra has to run out of head-growth energy at some point, and with enough snipers and enough bullets, even the swampiest swamp can eventually be drained.
