My translation:
Concerning the riots, it's really bizarre because, now that things are calming down, and the first rioters have been arrested and judged, we're starting to understand that the youth's death was just a pretext for some punks to fuck things up (and as in the cities, the chain reaction of violence happens fast); social tension in France is such that it could have been any other problem, and there would've been exactly the same phenomenon.
What's more, there were the beginnings of riots in Belgium and Switzerland, without any real cause—just to go around breaking things.
In truth, this violence doesn't make any sense.
The other problem is that certain political parties have encouraged the riots, explaining that [the rioters] are poor, they're hungry, and drawing a parallel with the French Revolution in 1789. That's rather absurd! One of these political leaders even said one shouldn't just attack schools and bookstores.
In short, this is BS.
I think Dom is being polite when he says "certain political parties." I also think he's skirting the issue of fundamental causes, which may be a touchy thing to talk about, and I won't press him. At some point, though, the French will have to talk about the consequences of heedless immigration, especially when it involves minorities that refuse to assimilate or otherwise adapt to their new host culture. It's not just France: the UK and Germany are also both in a pickle, and things are reaching a point where the only sane solution may be a Great Ejection of the toxic elements in their midst—a forcible Muslexit. The US is facing a similar crisis with its own illegal immigrants (some of whom are, in fact, Muslims crossing the southern border for nefarious reasons), compounded by a native left wing that hates the country yet refuses to leave it (probably because of cowardice, i.e., fear of acting on one's convictions*). But realistically, we all know a Muslexit will never happen: people are too afraid of being called racist merely for pointing out fundamental cultural incompatibilities. Unless we're talking about branches of mystical Sufism or ultra-liberal strains of Islam, it's obvious that mainline Islam's values do not align at all with Western values. This is an immense problem.

*These lefties say there are better, more enlightened countries than the US out there, but they either can't name those countries or know full well that the countries they're thinking of aren't actually better. Either way, they know they have it good in the States, and that's why they won't leave: they'd lose all their perks. Note that when these leftie loons threaten to leave, they always say they're going to another first-world Western country. You never hear them say they're moving to Venezuela, China, Iran, or anywhere in South America. Imagine that.
