who's Dean Phillips?

Dean Phillips is a Democrat running against Joe Biden. His stepfather is the son of Dear Abby. Here's his commercial, which gave me a chuckle.

I like that Bigfoot guy. He makes good points. But the adversarial commercial flies in the face of what Wikipedia says about Phillips: "Phillips is a Democrat who has consistently voted in support of President Joe Biden's positions." So how much of a rival can he really be? People said Vivek was basically Trump 2.0, and Vivek showed it by not attacking the former president. Maybe Phillips is adopting the strategy of "point guns at each other while playing footsie under the table."

I doubt we'll see Phillips ever debate Joe Biden. Biden will be crowned—just given the Dem nomination. Assuming he doesn't drop out for some mysterious reason.
