I made a gyro with leftovers for a late breakfast this morning. I should have taken pics of the dinner in progress yesterday, but I was too busy eating since I hadn't eaten all day.

I've laid out a flatbread and the containerized meat and toppings. |

ooh, anticipation |
 |
A closeup of the flatbread... they were all slightly different in size and shape, being unprofessionally rolled out. |

gyro innards exposed |

gyro meat on flatbread, microwaved for 90 seconds from a cold state |

The feta goes on. |
 |
The tzatziki and pickles go on (you can use whatever order for your toppings). |
 |
The olives, tomatoes, and cukes go on. |
So that's what I'd made for the family yesterday. Prep was done in stages over a couple of days. The family rule is apparently that the person who makes the food doesn't have to do the dishes, so I enjoyed a bit of a rest after dinner.
This morning, after the gyro (which was delicious, by the way, but the flatbread was a bit stiff; remaining flatbreads will need to be microwaved with a damp paper towel), I stole some Costco(?) blackberries to put atop a small cup of Dannon plain yogurt plus a heaping teaspoon of BochaSweet thanks to my sweet tooth. (I'm taking eight bags of BochaSweet home with me, along with some other BochaSweet products, all in a second check-in bag that I'd bought at Walmart.) So, Mike, if you're reading this, know that half the blackberries are gone, and I've used up the rest of the Dannon. I think all of the Greek yogurt got used up when I'd prepped the gyros, so as far as I know, your family is currently yogurtless.

meager but good, and the berries were really fresh |
Off to Pimenta for lunch soon.
