Amazon can put out cool shows like "The Expanse" (taken over from SyFy) and "Reacher" and "The Terminal List," but at the same time squeeze out turds like "Rings of Power" and the 2025 "War of the Worlds" (actually Universal, but released on Amazon Prime), and now "The Savant." What's going on with Amazon's studio heads? Are they trying to pander to both sides of the cultural divide? How much of this nonsense can a man tolerate before he decides Amazon, on the whole, is no longer worth it? Sure, I get the "Well, just don't watch" argument—I've made it myself. But when an entire institution starts to feel too toxic, one might want to consider leaving for greener pastures. But what replaces a behemoth like Amazon?
