Pritz und Fritz

My take on the whole Pritz thing:

I love it when the Koreans trot out the Nazi regalia, then feign wide-eyed innocence in the age of the Internet. A bit like Koreans in blackface, eh? "We honestly had no idea that this would be offensive to anyone!"

In case you missed the brouhaha: Pritz is apparently an obscure girl group who decided to wear outfits that look suspiciously like Nazi uniforms. The costume designer denied this, unconvincingly citing a completely different inspiration for the girls' gear. What Pritz gets out of this is free publicity, so I suppose the whole thing is a win-win... unless you're Jewish.

Funny stuff. Love the captions.

My take was that Pritz should be allowed to perform in their blackshirts uniforms but only if they are singing Pink Floyd's "Waiting for the Worms" in Korean.

I can't wait to hear their version:

Waiting to cut out the deadwood.
Waiting to clean up the city.
Waiting to follow the worms.

Waiting to put on a black shirt.
Waiting to weed out the weaklings.
Waiting to smash in their windows
And kick in their doors.

Waiting for the final solution
To strengthen the strain.
Waiting to follow the worms.

Waiting to turn on the showers
And fire the ovens.
Waiting for the queens and the coons and the reds and the Jews.
Waiting to follow the worms…

Pritz are a bunch of ignorant children. Pink Floyd, on the other hand, are old enough to know better. Roger Waters - thanks for all that great music in the late 1960's, but it's 40+ years later, so it's time for you to eat shit and die already.

OK, rant over.
