nothing to celebrate

March 17 is St. Patrick's Day. I don't drink alcohol, and I'm in the middle of a final austerity to get my weight back under control before my end-of-the-month doctor's appointment, so I've got nothing to celebrate. I won't be celebrating until April 1 rolls around (should I eat fake food on April Fool's Day?).

The old Subway up the street went tits-up some time ago, and it's been replaced by a place called Salady, which is apparently a chain. I'll be visiting Salady soon, once I'm done with the current austerity. I took a picture of its menu today so I can look more closely at what the resto has on offer (and to get an idea about prices). Here's hoping Salady actually has something to offer us potential grazers. It doesn't look like a very exciting place, and I'm already wondering how long the restaurant will last at that location, but we'll see.

One thing I see is that these salads, wraps, and sandwiches come with a lot of onions. I can tolerate onions in some salads, but I wonder how it'll be with these salads. I also see that the Cobb salad looks nothing like a real Cobb salad (top row, far right). Here's a range of Cobb salads for you. See any olives in those? Me, neither. And onions in Cobb are optional. That said, I'm morbidly curious to try everything on the menu. Since the menu doesn't seem that expansive, this ought to take just a few days.
