Jonathan Majors in the spotlight again

As I mentioned before, I'm no longer a fan of these sewing-circle get-togethers of rightie critics who end up rehashing the same complaints about TV and cinema over and over. It makes for boring YouTube viewing—just kvetch, kvetch, kvetch. But I'm making an exception in this case because the topic of discussion is the actor Jonathan Majors. Majors had a brief moment in the sun when he starred as Kang the Conqueror in the Disney-Marvel TV series "Loki," then appeared again as Kang in "Ant-Man: Quantumania" (which I refused to watch). Majors also starred in "Creed 3" (which is in my queue, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet), and his career seemed to be flying high. Then allegations of domestic abuse surfaced, and Majors has been on trial. Marvel, which had hoped to employ Majors as the new, big-bad villain for the cinematic "Phase V" of the MCU series of films, has effectively dropped Majors as too radioactive. Meanwhile, seemingly exonerating information about Majors came out during the trial, leading fans to think that Majors might reclaim his good name and get back on track. I think, though, that that hope has now been crushed by a court transcript of some of Majors's words to his girlfriend (or ex-girlfriend), Grace Jabbari. The content of the transcript is the main subject under discussion in the video below; I admit I was morbidly fascinated by this glimpse inside Jonathan Majors's head. The guy has problems.

Closing statements in Majors's trial began on December 14—just a few days ago.

  1. I'm up early every day reading your blog, and Swan is sleeping in the same room. So, I can never watch your videos immediately. I open them in a new tab and return to view them during daylight hours. This one looks to be worth the watch and I'm looking forward to getting the scoop!
