ululate!

What?? I guess I've been living under a rock. Shannen Doherty is dead at 53. That's what I get for not following her life and career.

Widely reviled for her bitchy ways and serial marriages, Doherty was also—surprise!—a registered Republican. (I couldn't believe that when I first heard it.) She ended up succumbing to breast cancer, which had metastasized to her brain, then her bones.

  1. There were several rather famous deaths: Shelley Duvall, Dr. Ruth, Richard Simmons, James B. Silking, and Shannen Doherty.

  2. Well, I at least covered Shannen Doherty in this post. And I heard the jokes about how the assassination attempt obscured poor Richard Simmons's death. I didn't even know Dr. Ruth was still (recently) alive, and I had no idea about Shelley Duvall. James B. Sikking was already on the older side (or at least—he wasn't young) back in "Star Trek III"; I didn't realize he'd lasted this long.

  3. And had Trump been killed, no one would have heard about any of these passings.
