Chef James Makinson, with his strange, not-quite-American accent (probably because he's lived overseas for so many years), seems to have made a career out of commenting on Uncle Roger's commentaries. Chef James has his own cooking channel, which I have yet to see. I can't decide whether I find his weird accent annoyingly pretentious or just normal for a guy who's been away from American culture for such a long time. Or who knows—maybe he comes from a US-based family where everyone speaks in that strangely clipped, over-enunciated way. Anyway, this video was interesting for Uncle Roger's eventual reaction to a British guy who has just discovered the wonders of MSG, a product that has experienced something of a rehabilitation over the past decade or so. I don't think I've ever used MSG before.
