If you don't have all the ingredients you need to make a full-scale budae-jjigae, you'll have to make do with what you do have. I had recently bought a pack of ramyeon (ramen noodles) and a pack of ddeok (rice cake). I already had spam, eggs, green onions, gochujang (red-chili paste), and gochugaru (red-chili flakes), so I put all that together to create a scaled-down version of budae-jjigae.
