Larry Elder on the practical wisdom of Denzel Washington

Larry Elder notes that Denzel Washington is no one's idea of a conservative Republican.  Nevertheless, Washington speaks some uncomfortable, un-PC truths about the black situation in America; he's willing to say that blacks ought not blame "the system" for their woes:  the problem lies closer to home, with the family and with the individual.  Denzel is shown, in Elder's video, telling a graduating class not merely to have dreams but also to have goals, and to strive toward those goals with hard work and consistency—to be thankful, to succeed, and to turn around and help others who need help.  There is absolutely nothing to argue with in such a message, and I have to respect Washington for his candor, for his own hard work, and for his clear-eyed perspective.
