As you see above, the typhoon has moved away from Korea and is hanging over Japan. Where can it go from here? The way the storm is tracking, the best bet would be China and/or Russia (North Korea's border is mostly with China, but there's a teeny segment of North Korea, way in the east, that abuts with Russia), although the open sea is a possibility.
As I mentioned in my previous post, my friend Neil in Masan seems to be just fine. My coworker said that, in coming in to the office today, he saw that the Yangjae Creek had overflowed yet again. I hope the flooding will have died down by the time I go out for my walk this evening, but with Murphy's Law being what it is, I'm not optimistic.
You'd think this would be the final kick in the ass, rain-wise, for the next little while, but the forecast calls for at least six more rain days this month, three of which are predicted for next week. Yeesh. The final week of September, when I head down to Jeju, looks to be all clear, but I guess we'll see. In mountainous areas, weather can turn on a dime.
