revolt of the seniors

China's elderly population is not happy:

Nothing fundamental is going to change in China until you topple the CCP. That's going to take way more than pockets of protest: it's going to take a frothingly furious crowd that overwhelms the security forces and rips them limb from limb. And that has to happen in all the major cities at roughly the same time. China is, at this point, no better than North Korea in its repressiveness, and only the people themselves can change that. You gotta want it, guys.

And I could say the same thing for the US.
