I took a long walk home tonight—my first walk of any real length since I got back from Busan. I passed a store/office on my street called Good Design, with the name written in Roman letters. Above the lettering was a stylized image of an elephant, and my critical brain immediately went, what does an elephant have to do with good design? As I passed the place, I looked inside and saw the store/office appeared to be devoted to interior design. Still no clue as to why the logo was an elephant, though. Your thoughts?

For some reason, the photo isn't showing. At least on my screen.
ReplyDeleteBlogger's experiencing some sort of hiccup right now. I'm not sure how long the problem will last.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first checked the problem, I could see my picture from the Blogger window (where I type out my blog entries), but not on the Blogspot blog. After a bit of fiddling, I was no longer even able to see my image in Blogger, and even after trying to re-upload it several times, the image simply wouldn't display. After hitting "refresh" while in the Blogger window, I now see that the Blogger window itself has gone wonky, so I conclude there's something related to Blogger itself that is the problem, not anything on my end. We're just going to have to wait it out.
Update: I see that other Blogspot blogs are also no longer displaying pictures.
ReplyDeleteThe photo for this post now seems to be displaying, but when I scroll down to my recent "images" post, I see we still have problems. Blogger's just going to have to sort itself out. This might take a few hours.
ReplyDeleteOK, it's 5:42, Seoul time, and we seem to be back to normal.
ReplyDeleteIn addition to their memory, elephants are widely known in the animal kingdom for their sophisticated design sense. Biologists have seen elephants in the wild putting together mood boards and browsing local human dumping grounds for things to upcycle. What surprises me most is that the owner of an interior design shop in Seoul knows this.
