Disney to give up on Star Wars-related streaming?

The original plan was for five seasons of this Rings tripe, but with the first two seasons already bombing badly, Amazon would do well to change course and cancel the show, which no one loves. But rich, out-of-touch people like Amazon owner Jeff Bezos will keep trying. Ideology over message. What's funny to me is that, for all the hate she gets as Galadriel, Welsh actress Morfydd Clark doesn't strike me as either a bad actress or a bad person. She's been given awful lines to deliver with utmost seriousness, and sure, I laugh at the parodies that include fart noises when Galadriel stridently declares that "There is a tempest in me!" But I don't blame Clark (or her quieter, less outspoken co-stars, i.e., not Sophia Nomvete) for any of this. She's an actress who's probably happy to have a job, and with the passage of time, she'll move on to other, better work, and people will appreciate her again. But seriously—is Amazon planning to double down and do all five seasons of this crap? Are they that insanely committed to their sick ideology and to the ruination of Tolkien's canon?
