what are we working on today, Poison Girls?

This evening, I'm shuttering the blog, closing it off to the general public, but for the moment, I'm desperately trying to populate my Substack through September so that I have some breathing room to work on other things, including an idea I had about how to bring in some income. I don't want to say anything more about that until I've got the idea working.

"Populating my Substack through September" means creating enough scheduled material to last through that period. It's a periodic paroxysm of content-creating activity that I engage in once every few months. I'm still going to have to find work, probably this week, but I'd like to get as much as I can done today before I turn my attention to anything else.

Specifically, I've been working on the following:

  1. Bad Online English (all done thru September)
  2. Scenes from a Walk—photos from my various walks across the peninsula (done)
  3. Games, Puzzles, etc.—word finds, crosswords, visual riddles, word ladders (almost done; several more word finds and crosswords to go)
  4. Creative Stuff—poems, essays, stories (nine entries to go)
  5. Grammar Growl—I have quiz announcements through July (10 real posts to write)

I won't finish everything today, but by the end of today, I hope to at least get everything done and scheduled through July.

Busy, busy, busy, says Bokonon.
