Sylvester Stallone's vanity project

I pressed "play." When the theme music started up, I started laughing maniacally. What follows is my tribute to Sylvester Stallone's sixth Rocky feature, imaginatively titled "Rocky Balboa." Check out the actual preview trailer here (you'll need Quicktime; it's a free download). My adaptation uses footage from and follows the order of the trailer.

For those who won't quite get the humor in what follows, lemme spell it out: the Rocky series is, almost without exception, the story of a white dude who improbably beats up a string of black dudes. Sure, Rocky's likable and the films aren't meant to be racist. But come on-- you gotta admit that the likelihood of a Rocky-style phenomenon ever happening in the real world is near zero. Strangely enough, that's a politically incorrect thought: the idea that certain races might come to dominate certain sports on the international level.
