Dr. V writes, regarding aging:
The abandoning of your vices becomes easier as they abandon you.
The mechanism of flight of the vices of the flesh is powered by the mortal coil's decline, which is why the old man out for spiritual gain should rejoice not rue his libido on the wane.
The old man, unlike the young, has a good shot at freedom even in the decadent West if freedom he wants.
Thus, a good man, though a slave, is free; but a wicked man, though a king, is a slave. For he serves, not one man alone, but, what is worse, as many masters as he has vices. (St. Augustine, City of God)
And what if you're old but still horny, unable to learn from past mistakes, and bars are all you know? What do you have to say to that? Tyrion Lannister's notion of dying old: "In my own bed, at the age of 80, with a belly full of wine and a girl's mouth around my cock."
Some folks don't aspire to much in life, but is Tyrion's way really a bad way to go?
Laugh with the sinners or cry with the saints, I suppose.
I'm not sure, I'll let you know when I get old (I'm only 66 after all).

Lucky bastard!
I often joke that I'm 30 in my heart. And most of the time, I do feel like a much younger man, at least in my outlook. The hot young women still attract me like a moth to the flame, the bars beckon me each night, and I can't imagine a different lifestyle. I guess I choose "slavery" over the freedom of behaving like an old man.
