I'll say off the bat that, while I respect Mark Wildman's overall project, which is to get people off their asses and healthy, I disagree with the conclusion he reaches in the five-year-old video below about the value of seated meditation. Wildman contends that seated meditation made more sense when people of the past moved around more in general, but in today's society, with so many people spending their days seated, spending even more time seated makes little sense, meaning that it's more constructive to meditate while in motion (Wildman is a proponent of weighted clubs, kettlebells, bodyweight calisthenics, etc.). Watch the video and see whether you agree. The responses to the video are polite, but most of the commenters also seem to reject Wildman's conclusion. My own 2010 post on Zen meditation goes into some detail on the benefits of this exercise.
