There was enough left over from Thursday's bánh mì luncheon to make some more sandwiches. And because I was in an experimental mood, I also bought and used some tortillas. Results were mixed. It might be better to stick with baguettes.

A bánh mì really is incredible. Is it the best sandwich I've ever eaten? No. But it's up there, and for me, as a heretofore bánh mì virgin, it provided the experience of something very different. I'll be making these again at some point. With all of the fresh ingredients, a bánh mì feels more like a summer sandwich than a winter one.
