out for a 33K tonight

I'm training out to Yangpyeong tonight for my third Yangpyeong-to-Yeoju walk this year. We're getting to where I'll be able to do long walks during the day. Temperatures are starting to climb back down, and not long from now, I'll step out into the sunlight and pronounce the day "cool." Today, while I was en route to work, the weather wasn't bad at all: sunny but not oppressively hot. Little hints of the approaching fall are popping up. Joro spiders are making their presence known along the tree-lined portions of the paths I walk.

Tonight, I'll be leaving the office around 7:30 or so; leaving early last time was a good idea because it meant arriving early enough in Yeoju to take the 7:30 a.m. bus back to Seoul. Compared to the 8:30 a.m. bus, the 7:30 wasn't nearly as crowded. On that bus ride, though, I ended up sitting in a seat with a damaged back: there was no back support at all, so the seat was limp and bouncy, keeping me from sitting upright. Once the bus got moving, I slipped into the empty seat next to my assigned seat, and no one said a thing. I don't think the driver even noticed. The rest of the ride was blissful.

Outta here soon. Wish me luck.
