All that said, I really did enjoy "Picard," Season 3—the only season of "Picard" that I watched. It was fun, it was nostalgic, and while it reused the Borg as the Big Bad for the third time in a row (yes, the Borg were a big part of the first two seasons), it had a great, cleverly written story that showed genuine respect for the legacy characters—something that's hard to find among the newer iterations of Trek. There's still hope that Trek can be good, but you'll need to find real writers who truly understand and value the franchise.
