Something happened that caught everyone's attention while I was away from home and walking across the country: "South Park" put out an episode about what it called "the Panderverse," an episode critical of Disney, Disney/Marvel, Kathleen Kennedy, and the rest of the stupid, woke mob that thinks you can uncreatively take an established intellectual property, race- and sex-swap its characters, and think that that makes the property somehow more modern and more marketable. The reality is that such pandering is merely another way to "get woke, go broke." As my go-to critics and commentators noted, if "South Park" is finally doing an episode about this, then the problem has at last broken into the mainstream of public consciousness and is no longer a right-wing niche thing. Below are some reactions to the "South Park" episode:
Finally, there's Paul Chato's less enthusiastic, somewhat critical take:
It's good to see people are waking up in the good kind of way. Hopefully, it is not too late. On the other hand, as your post about Jewish folk voting for people who'd be happy seeing them destroyed illustrates, there is a LONG way to go before we reach peak sanity.
