opposition leader Lee Jae-myung stabbed in the neck

Jesus Christ. And I thought the Japanese earthquake was going to be the biggest news. South Korean opposition leader Lee Jae-myung was stabbed in the neck by a mask-wearing* man (who, according to some, supposedly asked Lee for an autograph before stabbing him).

Some people are reporting that Lee's neck was "slashed," but if I'm to be pedantic, he was stabbed. As you'll see in the video, the attacker thrusts something into Lee's neck.

__________

*The "mask" looks like a mask from the back, but from the front, it's more of a paper crown that leaves the face exposed.

  1. 2024 is turning out to be a bit of a bummer so far, I gotta say.
