Thursday night's and tonight's walk

Thursday night's walk was a 9K one out to the river and back. Absolutely no chest pain at all. Tonight, I'm hitting the office, working there a few hours, then heading out by subway to Gayang Station. The intention is to get there late, then walk during the night for 22K from Gayang Station to Unyang Station, a walk that is mostly along the Han River. Before I went to the hospital for the first time three years ago, I could have done such a walk at a 5-kph pace, meaning 22K—a fairly short distance—would have taken just over four hours. Now, at my much slower pace, I'm budgeting six hours. If I start sometime between 11 p.m. and midnight, I ought to finish about an hour after sunrise, so public transportation should be available. I'll just take the subway back from Unyang Station (located in Gimpo) back to my place. Wish me luck: I'm hoping for another non-stop night. This will be my first walk at a semi-respectable distance since my most recent hospital trip. I've done nothing above 14K since then.

Kind of exciting.

  1. All systems go in terms of heart health, from the sounds of it. Forecast calls for extremely heavy rain in the coming hours, up to 120mm overnight. Take care out there!
