For all I know, generations of people knew this before I (re)discovered it for myself: Dan Aykroyd appears in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." See here:
I remember taking this minor character for granted and not recognizing Aykroyd at all. I may even have assumed the British accent was genuine. But in rewatching the early Indy series recently, I perked up when I saw that familiar face.
