It's a shame that the original series opening was never aired in the United States while people in Europe got to see an opening that definitely would have blown many young, male minds back in those pre-Internet porn days.
Beautiful is an such an understatement when trying to describe that opening, but this episode of Coupling comes pretty close to it at the 5:36 mark with a reference to another great sci-fi TV program from yesteryear.
WHAT CORN AND PEANUTS ARE HIDDEN IN THE WARM AND STEAMING PILE? Vapid cultural commentary, pungent reviews, sundry Korea-related musings, fartological/scatological humor, political flatulence, and nondualistic Zen excretions in prose or poetry form.

I kept looking at these people and thinking that they look familiar, but I couldn't place them until I clicked through. Very sweet indeed.
