Walk Thoughts #196: today's walk in pictures

Rain, rain, and more rain. Sometimes light, sometimes heavy, and always there like an annoying acquaintance who won't leave you alone.

Yes, that's the severed head of a duck. I took it to be some sort of travel-related omen. It's poetic in its own way.

I stamped the stamp twice, this time, because my hand shifted and smeared the first stamping. Today's walk wasn't supposed to be long, but it was a bit of an adventure (more on that in a later post), and it certainly felt long. According to my pedometer, my speed fluctuated from 2.3 miles per hour to 2.8. There's little worse than walking long miles in a cool rain. Except for walking long miles in a cold rain, I guess. I've done that, too.

Enjoy the pics.
