hostage situation in TX, but it's already over

A synagogue in Colleyville, TX, was the scene of a hostage situation when an armed man—presumably Pakistani, with an English accent—took a rabbi and three other people hostage. The man initially demanded the release from prison of a "sister" (spiritual or biological), but he ended up releasing all four hostages, then was shot when he apparently fired one round. The man had claimed that he had placed bombs in unknown locations, so it's a bit unfortunate he's dead. On the other hand, a dead Muslim terrorist is always a good thing in my book.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki made a vague statement about the situation, noting that President Biden was being routinely briefed. Instapundit quoted a comment about the circumspect nature of Psaki's statement:

It’s curious that Psaki failed to mention that the hostage situation was in a synagogue, wouldn’t you agree? While details are slim right now, it’s very clear that the hostage-taker is Muslim, and he’s targeted Jewish people in their place of worship. Biden and members of his administration are never at a loss for words when it comes to hate crimes or even gun violence that fits a certain narrative. Perhaps the tweet wouldn’t have seemed suspiciously devoid of information about who the victims and the perpetrator are if Biden and the Democrats didn’t have a habit of turning a blind eye to the violence that doesn’t fit their preferred narrative. Had it been a white supremacist taking hostages at a black church, I doubt those details would have gone unmentioned.

Also mentioned in the Instapundit comments was something called "Coulter's Law":

The longer it takes the news media to identify a mass shooter in the United States, the less likely it is to be a white male.

Our racist media—fanatically focused, like the Biden administration, on minuscule and scattered cases of "white supremacy."

Then there are these hilarious images:

Why anybody would try shit in Texas is beyond me.
