I've gained two inches on my belt since December 16, and I don't seem to be losing anything. Am starting to feel a bit bloated despite how my pants remain loose around my waist. I'd estimate that each belt-inch regained represents about 6-8 pounds, so I may have regained close to 16 pounds (7.3 kg). Not a good look for Uncle Kevin. Along with clamping down on my diet, I'm gonna have to ramp up the intensity of my workouts, which may mean engaging in stair training more than just on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and may also mean wearing my weight vest sooner than I'd originally planned to do. Walking is good, but especially in the wintertime, I never break a sweat, so it's not all that conducive to weight loss unless I go super-long distances every single day. I'm not ready to do that, so if I don't increase time, I have no choice but to increase intensity. Something's gotta give.
Also: either tonight or tomorrow, I'm going to break out the elastic resistance bands (up to three bands now) and figure out what strength exercises I can still do in my reduced condition. Expect more on all this later. Oh, and I forgot to give you my numbers on Sunday; that may have to wait until this coming Sunday. Sit tight.
Trying to catch up with all the blog entries I missed. 7.x kg seems manageable in terms of future weight loss goals. It was the holiday season, after all.
