help from a retired police officer

Another dramatic shootout covered by Donut Operator:

As I said before, if you're squeamish and don't like seeing carnage, these videos that Donut does, with his commentary, are fairly bloodless: the suspect is often blurred out the moment before he dies, and even the sound of gunshots gets replaced by the sound of a duck quacking. This turns horrific raw footage into something akin to a weird, Disney-like experience. Donut has a second channel, Donut's Raw Police Footage, that still blurs out crucial moments but leaves the sound of gunshots in. There's also no commentary: it's really just the raw police footage, mostly from body cams but sometimes also from cameras inside police cars and even occasional footage from citizens. On the raw-footage channel, a hint of carnage is sometimes visible, but not much because YouTube can shut down the channel if too much is going on.

  1. Glad it had a happy ending. Yeah, the "quacks" instead of gunshots are a tad irritating. Props to the boys in blue doing their job and it is nice to see them in action.
