  1. Reminds me of the opening sentence of Bryan Caplan's The Myth of the Rational Voter: "In a dictatorship government policy is often appalling, but rarely baffling."

    I look forward to your comments on "The Dictator's Handbook." I'm a big fan of the work of Bueno de Mesquita and Smith.
