a Tim Pool triple feature

The mostly white congressmen (and -women) who recently knelt while wearing kente cloths as a way of publicly showing solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement had no apparent clue that the cloths were from an African culture—the Ashanti—that enslaved fellow Africans:

To be honest, I had no idea what the colors meant, either, but you'd think that politicians trying to make a virtue-signaling public statement would at least research the matter before donning traditional garb from another culture—garb that is saturated with meaning. I'm reminded of Hillary Clinton's hilarious attempt at giving a "reset button" to a Russian representative as a sign of improving relations (remember when the Democrats loved Russia?). The plastic toy, shaped like a giant, childish reset button, was supposed to say "reset" in Russian, but instead, it said "overload," thus conveying an entirely different meaning. This was an utterly preventable fiasco, but in both cases—with the reset button and the kente cloths—the politicians went ahead with their stupid gestures, anyway, which goes to show that hubris and mental retardation are a dangerous combination.

Pool takes on journalistic hypocrisy, yet again:

Pool contends that some Americans are "hedging their bets" when it comes to Donald Trump, probably because they've bought into the lying media narrative that, electorally speaking, Trump is somehow doomed this November... but that he might do something to steal the election (presumably, the way he "stole" the election in 2016). It's stupidity all the way down. All I can do is shake my head in wonder.
