will I finally be moving to a new online address?

I tried the "new Blogger" for a few days, and while it does include some user-friendly improvements (like a vastly better archive-search function), I have to say that... overall, I hate it. The image-upload feature is far worse than how things are now, and that's a huge issue for someone like me who is constantly uploading photos, art, and videos. I can no longer control the size of the image I upload, which is a huge minus; the feature for searching and selecting images to upload is now clunkier than before, so it's now become a pain in the ass, both on my laptop and on my cell phone. I used the "new Blogger" for a few days, then flipped back to "legacy" Blogger, but all of us on Blogger will have no choice but to change over to the new format—like it or not—by the end of this month. And that sucks leprous donkey balls. I'm not sure what to do, but I'm pondering a move over to SquareSpace, a blogging service that has been around almost as long as Blogger. SquareSpace includes features and functions that can make a blog look smarter and snazzier, but unlike Blogger, SquareSpace is a paid service, which is one reason for its higher quality.

So here's the tentative plan: I'll stay with legacy Blogger until I'm forced to adopt new Blogger. I'll spend a month blogging on new Blogger, learning its ins and outs while I research SquareSpace and/or other options. If I decide that SquareSpace is the way to go, I'll quietly create a new blog (same blog name, but different URL) on the new blogging platform so that, when I finally announce I'm moving, I can give you readers an address to go to for what I fervently hope will be a seamless transition. More news on this as it happens.

  1. Well good luck with the upcoming move. Sounds like a real pain in the ass. I started on Blogger too but switched to WordPress a couple of months in. Can't remember why now though.

The real key will be to make sure your readers can find you. I guess your final post here could be a link to the new domain.
