on the road to 3 million page views

My Blogger site-traffic meter tells me that I've surpassed the 2.8-million mark in terms of page views. It's taken me only seventeen years to reach* this point; more popular sites get millions of hits per week, by comparison. But 3 million is kind of a cool milestone; I'll take what I can get. At my current rate, it's going to take at least seven months to reach that mark, which means I won't be the Three Million Visit Man until this coming January or so. Not to worry; I have the patience of a mountain (which befits my size and shape).

*Blogger didn't install a site-traffic counter until some time after it got taken over by Google, so it's entirely possible that I've already surpassed the 3-million mark. Since I don't know how many page views I had before the changeover, those data are lost to the mists of history. I'll stick with what I can verify... assuming Blogger's counter doesn't go haywire the way my old SiteMeter counter did.
