exploding a Desert Eagle

Scott at Kentucky Ballistics was nearly killed, a while back, when a weapon he was firing suffered a catastrophic failure, blowing up in his face and ripping through him with shrapnel. Scott's dad, who is also his cameraman, saved his life, and Scott eventually recovered from his injuries. Since that time, Scott has had an interest in catastrophic failures—perhaps his way of dealing with the trauma of what happened to him. In the following vid, Scott blows up a .50 caliber Desert Eagle, a beautiful handgun that doesn't deserve such a fate. But as Scott says in the video, the audience demanded it, so he's giving the crowd what it wants. The results of Scott's experiment are actually quite interesting.
