The funny thing is, today the left is as fundamentalist and religious in their own way as Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson's followers were.
The left is all about punishing people (whom they want less of) for Gaia. We have to wear hairshirts so that nature can thrive again! Suffer for Mother Earth!
The left embraces sh*tty conditions. That is fortunate because they couldn't run an economy if they tried. Everything turns to sh*t under them, and they want you miserable and enjoying it.
People WANT this.
Never thought this was what the future would be like.
It's not exactly a new thought (I've talked about the left's ironic fundamentalism myself), but it encapsulates a lot in a small space.
