Portland was bad in 2008; it's worse now

During my attempted trans-America walk of 2008, in which I went only about 600 miles before an injury became too painful for me to continue, I stopped in Portland, Oregon, for two weeks to give my injured knee a chance to rest. While there, I stayed at a huge communal home run by socialists and headed up by a Protestant minister. Picked up some weird, skin-eating infection, too, maybe from bad hygiene at the communal home. During my time wandering around the city, I saw tons of homeless camps fully occupying parks, not to mention plenty of homeless all over the streets. The problem was way worse and way more visible than the homeless problem in DC at the time (I have no idea how bad things are in DC now, but I can't imagine things have gotten better).

Well, according to the video above, things have gotten worse in Portland since my time there in 2008. This seems to be the way of things in Democrat-run cities. Even a supposedly red state like Texas has its Austin, which has turned into another leftist shithole. If I were ever to move back to the States, I'd avoid all big cities and live somewhere quiet and peaceful.
