A new, PC production of Snow White is in the works at Disney, with a Latina Snow White and seven race-swapped and biology-swapped "magical forest creatures" replacing the original dwarves. Yay! "Modern audiences" will be so happy!
The idea behind the PC-ness is that you have to have representation of every ethnic group in order for people of those ethnicities to feel that they can see themselves in the events they're watching, thus producing a feeling of inclusion. This is an unbelievably stupid way to think, but that's the PC (or "woke") mindset in a nutshell.
I recall watching "12 Years a Slave." The experience was painful enough that I couldn't even bring myself to write a full review of that movie. And what do I have to do with the horrific story portrayed in that film? Nothing. Except that I'm a fellow human being capable of feeling. According to the PC idiots, I shouldn't be able to relate to the main character at all. And yet, that movie brought me to tears in a way that few movies have done.
If your agenda goes no deeper than "representation," if you think that empathy between and among people of different ethnicities, sexes, etc. is impossible, then there's no saving you from your own obtuseness. How sad for you.
