Jordan Peterson on the dangers of alcohol

Hey, drink all you want as far as I'm concerned. I'm no longer as uptight as I used to be about people drinking. But I do hold to the libertarian idea that your alcohol consumption becomes a bad thing the moment you harm someone else while drunk. I personally don't drink because, initially, my father never drank (his parents were both alcoholics who died because of their addiction); later in life, I began to see my abstinence as a function of a "control" thing: I don't like the idea of losing control. For me, that's a loss of dignity, not to mention a loss of the freedom to choose (which is tied to dignity). In the video below, Jordan Peterson calls alcohol "pernicious." I can get behind that. If you think life is only better when it's chemically enhanced, you're doing something deeply wrong. That said, you do you; you have every right to live in a delusional state, and I won't stop you.
