The Most Awesome 1880s/1890s Scrapbook in the Universe

I referred to it before, but after much labor, it's now on sale on eBay. Even if you don't buy it, you might want to peruse the 63(!!) full-size photos I appended to the eBay listing. My write-up for the scrapbook also notes that it may be associated with a macabre bit of history-- just in time for Halloween.

  1. Wow! That'd be a hard item to resist buying if I had a spare $275 in my pocket.

    Awesome link. Thanks, chief.

  2. Most welcome. And yeah, in this economy, not many people are going to have that sort of spare change. Then again, the number of people visiting this item is far greater than the number visiting any of my other items. Maybe someone among those eager visitors will have sufficiently deep pockets. I've got until Halloween to find out.

  3. Wow, that is a fascinating scrap book. Like Aaron, I find it tempting, but unfortunately will probably not be able to take it off your hands.

I enjoyed the poker humor, and you are so right about Mr. Jefferson--the resemblance is striking indeed.
