Yeouido Viet-Thai (1)

Deep-fried potato-ribbon shrimp at 하롱베이의 하루 (A Day at Halong Bay). Overpriced but tasty for Yeouido fare. Their spring rolls suck; they're blander than paper. But these shrimp are startlingly packed with flavor. What you're looking at is a double order.

Deep-fried potato-ribbon anything is trending in modern cuisine right now. It's a nifty and visually pleasing way to wrap something in carbs without using batter. Not very healthy, but bursting with savor.
