No one does sarcasm like the Brits, and I just found a new channel to watch on YouTube: The Woke Critic, which is dripping with sarcasm. Piling on to the anti-"Rings of Power" bandwagon, the Woke Critic has a hilarious take on the new Amazon series. He focuses primarily on race-swapping and the feminization of the story, but he makes his points in such a humorous way that I couldn't help but be amused.
Please enjoy "The Rings of Power Is a Masterpiece."
I haven't watched "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" myself, but I'm thoroughly enjoying the backlash against it in all its forms—comedic, scholarly, and otherwise. You'd think that this would be an expensive lesson for Amazon (a billion dollars spent!), but as The Critical Drinker pointed out, Amazon has already committed to several seasons' worth of this crap, so there'll be much more to come. Isn't that magnificent?
ADDENDUM: here's Nerdrotic with his brutal take on the first two episodes:
Unlike in The Woke Critic's video, Nerdrotic offers a much more substantive take-down.
