are you a Costco veteran?

If you're a veteran Costco shopper, you probably know what this means:

The above is a key to one of the lockers—locker #10 in my case—in a locker bank, the type of locker bank that can be found at the front entrance of pretty much every Costco (in Korea, at least... I can't remember how it is in the States). And yes: as you see, I was an idiot and took the key home with me, which means the avocados I left in the locker will be spending the night there because it's too late to go back there now. I need the avocados to ripen by Friday, and right now, it's abnormally cool outside, so there won't be much ripening happening tonight. I'm going to have to force the issue tomorrow after I recover the avocados, maybe with a little help from my oven to speed the ripening. If the avocados aren't ready by Friday morning, I'm going to have to move to Plan B. Whatever that might be. Probably something avocado-less.

I'm serving chili this coming Friday. For carbs, there'll be Doritos chips for the boss and coworker, and I'll be chomping down on some keto cornbread.

  1. I've only ever seen those lockers in South Korea. Most people have cars to leave their stuff in in the U.S.
