From Wikipedia's entry on blisters:
To heal properly, a blister should not be popped unless medically necessary. If popped, the bacteria can spread. The excess skin should not be removed because the skin underneath needs the top layer to heal properly.[2]
Ha! So my policy of leaving blisters alone and walking through them has been vindicated! Eat that, blister-poppers!
But it's only Wikipedia, and you can't trust Wikipedia, you declare? As the younger folks say these days, keep your copium to yourself.* And note the footnoted link above.
__________
*I've used copium before. See here and here.
